In the end, Lady GaGa won the Best New Artist award, leaving her with a one out nine mark at this year’s VMAs. She also got to impressively perform “Paparazzi” during the show.
The most controversial event, however, happened when Kanye West interruped Taylor Swift while delivering her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video. Swift won for “You Belong with Me” when West interrupted to say that Beyonce had the best video of the decade with “Single Ladies”.
The Best New Artist awardee has been under fire recently, as Lady GaGa hermaphrodite issues keep bugging the music superstar. Debates regarding her gender have been raised when a bulge had been seen between her legs. Also, Lady GaGa posed nude for V Magazine, instantly drawing readers in anticipation of her naked shoot.
