FIFA Soccer 10 for the iPhone was just released by EA Sports. FIFA Socccer 10 will sell at the App Store of Apple for only $9.99. The low amount is the same that Madden NFL 10, the iPhone game top seller, goes for at the App Store.
EA Sports hopes that FIFA Soccer 10 will overtake Madden NFL 10, given the soccer game’s simpler controls and gameplay functionality. It will face stiff competition, however, from Real Soccer 10 by Gameloft, which only sells for $6.99. Moreover, Real Soccer 10 for the iPhone is running its second edition already, while FIFA will only start now.
FIFA Soccer 10 by EA Sports will also be launched on October 20 in the following game consoles: PS3, PSP, PS2, XBox 360, Wii, and DS.

18 August 2009

“TomTom for the iPhone”, the GPS app for the iPhone, is out and being sold at $99, one of the most expensive apps released by Apple. Already touted to replace GPS devices, TomTom for the iPhone contains maps for the United States and Canada.
Other features of TomTom for the iPhone include: voice-enabled turn-by-turn directions, “Tap and Go”, one-touch navigation for contacts in the address book of your iPhone, an establishment finder for restaurants, gas stations, and the like, and “IQ Routes” which determine the most efficient route based on historical data from a million other drivers and actual data on road speed.
Though there have existed other GPS programs on Apple’s App Store, TomTom for the iPhone has already reached the number two spot as the most popular GPS application that Apple has to offer. It is the only GPS application with hardware support, from a car windshield mount, a speaker, GPS booster, to its own charger.
Sooner or later, developers and consumers alike expect TomTom for the iPhone to release updates that will fix minor glitches – and to replace the typical standalone GPS.

Outlook for Mac will soon replace the current e-mail and calendar program in the Mac Office package, Entourage. Some differences of the Windows version of Outlook deal with the Mac version having more support for more Exchange features, like public folders and features highlighting rights management.

When Eric Wilfrid, General Manager of Microsoft’s Macintosh business unit was asked about the rumors that Microsoft might be working on mobile versions of Office for the iPhone, he had this to say:

“That’s been a popular question. No, there is no news today about any iPhone work.”

The new business edition will sell for $399.
