Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden in a new audiotape proclaimed President Barack Obama powerless to stop the war in Afghanistan and even threatened to strengthen guerrilla warfare there.  The bin Laden audiotape was released to mark the anniversary of the infamous Septemer 11 attacks at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the United States.
The tape was posted on Islamic militant Web sites a couple of days after the eight-year anniversary of the 2001 9/11 suicide plane hijackings. Osama said in the 11-minute tape that Obama is merely following the same policies of George W. Bush. Osama also urged Americans to “liberate” themselves from the influence of “neo-conservatives and the Israeli lobby.”
Osama Bin Laden also followed by saying that al-Qaida attacked the United States in retaliation for the country’s support for Israel. Bin Laden stated:
“If you end the war, so let it be. But if it is otherwise, all we will do is continue the war of attrition against you on all possible axes.”
Osama also continued by saying:
“You are waging a hopeless and losing war for the benefit of others, a war the end of which is not visible on the horizon.”

Former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager will be a new correspondent to NBC’s “Today” show and will contribute stories once a month on issues about education. Hager, the 27-year old daughter of former President George W. Bush, is also a teacher in Baltimore.
Jenna Bush Hager has stated that she has always wanted to be a teacher and a writer. She has already written two books and has appeared twice in the “Today” show to promote one of her books, “Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope”, a story about an HIV-infected single mother. Having had a good stint at the “Today” show with her mother, Laura Bush, Hager has remained open-minded about other things she had wanted to do:
“It wasn’t something I’d always dreamed to do. But I think one of the most important things in life is to be open-minded and to be open-minded for change.”
Hager will also be a reading coordinator in her school this year.
