Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin fired back at President Barack Obama and democratic lawyers and defended her claim that the Democratic health care proposal would create “death panels”. On her Facebook page, Palin wrote:
“Yesterday President Obama responded to my statement that Democratic health care proposals would lead to rationed care; that the sick, the elderly and the disabled would suffer the most under such rationing; and that under such a system, these ‘unproductive’ members of society could face the prospect of government bureaucrats determining whether they deserve health care.”
All this after Democratic lawmakers responded heavily against Sarah Palin days for suggesting that her own son, Trig, would have to face a bureaucratic panel to get access to the new health care proposal because he was born with Down syndrome. Palid stated:
“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”
