President Barack Obama will be a guest at the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday in an effort to promote the health care plan. The Obama health care speech video, together with the president’s other efforts to promote the health care plan, has been received with heavy criticism by lawmakers and ordinary citizens alike.

The historic Obama appearance at the Late Show will mark the first time a sitting president will guest at the David Letterman show. Obama has appeared on the Late Show five times already, the last one in September 2008 during the presidential campaign.

President Obama will also visit Sunday morning talk shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN. It seems certain that the president is set to get his health care proposition message across and that the Late Show with David Letterman will merely be his first stop.
