See pictures of the Honda CR-Z hybrid car. Honda has revealed a new hybrid car: the Honda CR-Z, once just a concept car two years ago, is now a 2-seat hybrid sports coupe. The CR-Z is set to release in the United States in the second half of 2010.
Now sporting a mix of style, fun, and environment consciousness, the Honda CR-Z hybrid car was described by Eric Berkman, Vice President of Planning of Honda:
“Beyond great styling and features, the CR-Z will bring new levels of engagement and fun to customers interested in a small car or a hybrid vehicle.”
As the first hybrid sports coupe on the market, the Honda CR-Z hybrid car comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and sport-tuned suspension. Set to debut at the North American International Auto Show, the Honda CR-Z hybrid car is a sporty 2-seater that slightly resembles a hatchback.
The new Honda hybrid car pictures show that it has an eye-catching grille and slit openings for the headlamps. Beneath the hybrid car’s hood, the engine of the front-wheel-drive Honda CR-Z is Insight’s 1.5-liter 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain. The Integrated Motor Assist of Honda boosts both off-the-line response and fuel economy.
