In Britain, George Michael was arrested last Saturday after his Land Rover collided with a lorry. Michael was held in the early hours of Friday morning because he was under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He was eventually released without charge after five hours.

George Michael said that he was “stone cold sober” at the time and even issued a statement to support it:

“Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober. We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.”

Michael added:

“I don’t want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again.”
